Cool Girl Contrast: Powder Blue and Black

Pastel shades have been a huge trend on the runway for a few seasons in a row. However, head-to-toe pastel is very hard to pull off! My favorite way to wear this trend is mixed with black. The end result is totally unique and unexpected. Don't believe me? See these outfits for inspiration on how to wear powder blue and black to all your summer occasions.

Is Two Years Long Enough For A Trend To Come Back?

The Nineties are back but it has been 20 years. Lip Prints? Some of you might recall that I had a blog on lip prints just two years ago. But seriously, they are back again! I guess you could ask if they ever really went away. Does it matter? The fashion world, specifically the fashion magazine world, is OBSESSED with this YSL lip print dress. Too dear for you at $3490.00? Scroll down for some great high/low outfit options.

Head-to-Toe Spring Prints

One of the cooler trends for Spring 2014 is the head-to-toe print look. Sometimes it is just a matching top and bottom, other times the look includes a matching bag or shoe. How fun is that? And for all of you who were equally in love with/horrified by the uber-expensiveness of last week's Shoe Candy blog, I've included a budget option below. Just remember, I always show you the most expensive version of the trend first, that way you'll know it well when you find it at your price point.

For a casual outfit that requires little effort with maximum impact, look to this cotton version by Suno.

These shorts are disguised as a mini skirt for a classic, extra feminine look.

My favorite part of the look? Wearing matching shoes as well. This Gucci combo printed with parasols is perfect for a summer dinner on the boardwalk.

Shoe Candy for Everyone

This shoe season is crazy. Did you hear me? C-R-A-Z-Y! What's in style? Everything. Ok...not everything, but a little something for everyone. How awesome is it when everything from a stiletto to a chunky heel to an orthopedic sandal to a sneaker are in style all at once? You know what is more awesome? When shoe designers offer all of the above in the same patterns so you can have your cake and eat it too. Happy spring shoe shopping!
